Accutane or Isotretinoin is an anti-inflammatory agent and a derivative of natural Vitamine A. It works on acne by stabilizing the hyperkeratinisation process and plugging of the follicles of the skin. This will lead tothe reduction of the size of the sebaceous glands of the skin. This in turn, causes reduced production of sebum.
