Prednisone or prednisolone can be used in the treatment of the symptoms of cancer. This drug is also effective for the treatment of pneumonia in the patient who is suffering from HIV or AIDS. Prednisone has no any specific biological effect until it is converted to Prednisolone by the hepatic metabolism.
