Albuterol Rotacaps is a prescribed medicine used to heal narrowing of airway in individuals who are suffering from obstructive airway disease, which is named as bronchospasm. It may also used to cure bronchospasm which is induced due to exercise. Albuterol comes under the group of drugs named beta agonists. They help the smooth muscle of the lungs to relax easily, making it easier to breathe in and out. 

How does Drug Work? 

Albuterol Rotacaps helps smooth muscle of the lungs to relax normally, making it easier to breathe in and out.  Abuterol Rotacaps inhibits the release of bronchoconstricting agents from mast cells, which leads to narrowing of airways. 

What is the Dosage of Albuterol Rotacaps? 

Albuterol Rotacaps Dose prescribed by physician / pharmacist may be depends upon the various Conditions. Like: 

  • Medical condition of patient
  • Other medicines  taken by patient
  • How you respond to this medication
  • Body weight of patient
  •  Height of patient
  • Gender of patient 

 

Albuterol comes in many dosage forms. Such as a tablet, syrup, and an sustained release tablet. The sustained release tablets are taken once every 12 hours. Albuterol also comes as a solution to be inhaled into the mouth using a nebulizer and is usually used 3 or 4 times a day. 


Albuterol Dosage form as Syrup 

  • Drug Dose for the Adults And Children - Dose for adults and children is 2 mg (1 teaspoonful) or 4 mg (2 teaspoonfuls) 3 or 4 times a day.
  •  Drug Dose for the Children 6 to 14 Years of Age- 2 mg (1 teaspoonful) 3 or 4 times a day.

 

Albuterol Dosage form as Aerosol  

  • Drug Dose for Adults And Children - Starting Dose is 2 inhalations of Aerosol and it is repeated after every 4 to 6 hours.

 

Albuterol Dosage form as Sustained Release Tablets 

  • Drug Dose for Adults and Children– Starting dose of Sustained Release Tablets is 8 mg after every 12 hours.

 

 What are the indications of Albuterol Rotacaps? 

 It is used as Tablets, syrups and Aerosols. In case of intranasal aerosols used to manage symptoms of allergic and non-allergic brochospasm, and in case of Tablets; taken orally for the maintenance and therapy of asthma. 

 

What are the Side Effects of Albuterol Rotacaps? 

Most commonly reported accounted side effects are as follows: 

  • Severe Headache
  •  Feeling of Nausea
  • Feeling of Dizziness
  • Heart Rate Faster Than Normal
  • Irritation in throat 

 

Exceptional side-effects are mentioned below: 

  • Cramps in muscle
  • Feeling of Restlessness

Stop the use of Albuterol Rotacaps and consult your physician if patient notice any of the following side effects: 

  • Rashes on skin surface, swelling under the skin as known as angioedema or feeling of dizziness.

How do I store Albuterol Rotacaps?
