Strattera18 mg is used for the treatment of ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder). This sickness can found in males, females and children in any age; it is begun from childhood (six to eleven years) also. Atomoxetine hcl is the main component present in the Straterra. This main component belongs to the class of nor epinephrine reuptake inhibitor which is appropriate for the treatment of ADHD. Strattera18 mg exerts its action by binding of the dopamine receptor which is present in the brain, and the main component blocks the action of nor-epinephrine reuptake inhibitor. The result is that the level of dopamine and norepinephrine is increased in the brain and decrease the unwanted thinking. By which the patient provides relief from hyperactivity disorder and take attention on their work.
USES OF THE STRATTERA18 mg:
Strattera18 mg is recommended for those patients who are suffering from the hyperactivity disorder or ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder).
CONTRAINDICATIONS OF THE STRATTERA18 mg:
In some conditions this medicine is unsafe for the patients, these conditions are:
- If the patient is hypersensitive with the ingredients present in this medicine like Atomoxetine hcl.
- This medicine is also contraindicated for those patients who are suffering from these disorders such as pheochromocytoma, narrow angle glaucoma and any type of cardiac disorder.
- This medicine is also not prescribed for the breastfeeding mothers because it affects the children.

DRUG INTERACTIONS:

- Isocarboxazid and linezolid (MAO inhibitors)
- Tambocor, and Cordarone (Antiarrhythmic medicines)
- Acebutolol, and Chlorthalidone (Antihypertensive drugs)
- Citalopram, Paroxetine (Antidepressant medicines)
- Loxapine, Haloperidol (Antipsychotic drugs)
- Metolazone, Chlorothiazide (Thiazide diuretics )
- Alprazolam, Cloxazolam (Benzodiazepines)
- Erythromycin (Antibiotics medications)
IN CASE OF OVERDOSE:
In this case the patient face such disorders like agitation, drowsiness, hyperactivity, mouth gets dry, insomnia, eyesight get decreases, heartbeat gets fast, unfamiliar behaviour and pain in the stomach. In such conditions immediately inform to the doctor.
